Remembering & Reflecting

Out of the ashes of terror, through the tears and shock we became reborn as a nation united. For the attacks of an enemy did not weaken us as intended, rather strengthening the core of what we stand for. In remembering the fallen, the innocent, the heroic, we must also reflect. Refusing to allow time to wane our memory giving way to opening the doors for history to be repeated in various forms. Tragedy may have been the spark igniting positive actions (even if briefly), but it shouldn't be the kindling that keeps the embers of goodwill lit.  May we learn from the past proving that lessons are not forgotten, carrying and applying them as we go forward daily. Forgoing skittish apprehensions bore from paranoia instead opting for resolve with reserve to do right in the name of peace, truth and humanity.  So that those whom we lost may rest in peace as humanity walks towards peace. Remember & Reflect.
